Our accessible vehicles are ADA-compliant and designed for standard-sized power wheelchairs and standard-sized scooters but will not accommodate an over-sized wheelchair, such as one with extra adaptive equipment attached. Passengers can request an Accessible Cab by calling 202-544 1212 or online 24-hours/7-days through our WebBooker application or Mobile App dcyellowcab. Select Wheelchair Accessible Cab from the Vehicle filed drop-down.

Individuals who use manual wheelchairs and can independently transfer to the back of the cab may be assigned a sedan vehicle. Passengers can request immediate or pre-booked service and can prearrange a service request from Reagan National Airport to a DC destination. We cannot provide service from Dulles or BWI Airports because those airports have their own accessible service.  We would advise that you pre-book your Accessible taxi at least one-hour in advance because there may be a limited number of these specially-equipped vehicles available at the requested time.

The rates for accessible taxi service are the same as for traditional taxi service. You can pay with Cash or by Credit Card.  All YCDC taxicabs are equipped with state-of-the art payment systems.  Our payment systems are equipped for the visually impaired and our Call Center supports TTY services.

Hearing-impaired customers can use our online booking services to book a ride, track the dispatched vehicle and communicate to our dispatchers through SMS texting to 202-544 1212.
